Versa not tracking my sleep accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Versa the second day of its release and has worked great except for tracking my sleep accurately. I had the Charge 2 prior to the Versa and it was way more accurate. I’m wearing my Versa the same way I use to wear my Charge 2. I have changed the sleep sensitivity on the Versa on more than one occasion and still no luck. I really believe there is an issue with the sleep tracking software and from the reviews I’ve been reading in this forum, I’m not the only one with sleep tracking issues.

Hey @Bandit68, welcome aboard! Let me ask you this, is it your Versa not tracking your sleep stages correctly or your sleep data in general? In the meantime, I'd like you to review these scenarios that might be occurring and that is why yo are not getting sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.
  • In addition, please Restart your Versa

Let me know how it goes!

I have in the past complied with all of your recommendations. As I stated in my original post I also have the Charge 2 and it’s worn the same position as the Versa and the accuracy of the Charger 2 is way more accurate. Both devices are worn correctly on my wrist but again, totally different results.

Thanks for getting back to me @Bandit68! Ok, if you made sure that you are correctly wearing your Versa, but still not getting accurate sleep stages, I'd like you to let me know if you are getting some type of message on the sleep tracked part of the Fitbit app. If so, could you please post a screenshot? Or let me know exactly what it says so I can further investigate it with my coworkers.

I'll be looking to your reply!
