I just called tech support and explained that my new Versa is not receiving text messages, calls, etc., from my Samsung S8. He said this is a problem for the last few days. I think I need to return the new Versa unless someone has a suggestion.

This solution doesn't work either. The phone can have ALL notifications on full volume and the app, the versa....it is not working. This is not a phone issue. How can something that worked just stop working. That makes no sense. There are way too many people stating frustration for this to to be a phone issue. Fitbit, you need to get this figured out.

Have done all these steps multiple times, no change. My phone is working perfectly. I going to keep saying this until someone at FitBit hears it....we are not having a phone issue. There are way too many android users complaining about the same thing. This is not a phone issue. Please fix this issue.

I "upgraded" from a Blaze to a Versa 2. I am using it with a Galaxy S8+, I used to be able to reliably receive Outlook, text, and app notifications on my Blaze. I never saw the "notification service not running, restart your phone" error. With the Versa 2, I have never been able to get Outlook notifications and since the "notification service not running" issue is so sporadic, I have no idea whether notifications are coming in or not. I had hoped the OS update on the Versa 2 would resolve this, but no such luck. I don't know whether it is an app issue or a Versa 2 issue (I suspect the latter since everything worked fine with the Blaze, and also works fine for my wife with her Inspire HR), Regardless, Fitbit needs to fix this. I am still within my return window, but would prefer a working device as opposed to a return.

Hi @Jemaine333 - I moved your post to the Versa forum. You may get more help here. To get call notifications, you need to install the Fitbit app to a supported phone. But you would have to make a call from your phone. None of the Fitbit devices offer cellular service. You can get more information on setting up the Versa Lite in the manual.

When I had Fitbit Blaze, never had this issue. to this day, never had an issue like this with the blaze. my wife got the versa 4 months ago and she's been having this issues, and just got the versa 2 and started having this issue . started using blaze again at one point within the last 2 weeks,.and hadn't had the problem since, but i had to switch back to versa 2 again because my blaze only lasts 2 days per complete charge.

Received a Versa after was hospitalized with collapse lung and my Charge 3 went missing. The Charge 3 had no issues with notice of phone, e-mail, or text. The Versa has nice face and some nice apps available, but lost all my basic functions such as notification of call, e-mail, or text. This model seems like a big failure from the stand point of giving function to feature. The question is to Fitbit, When and If they are going to get this working, a simpler designed worked well, so why doesn't this one?

Pixel 4 XL and notifications are completely unreliable, just like Engadget said in their review here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.engadget.com/amp/2019/09/09/fitbit-versa-2-review-alexa-amoled/
Not only are they unreliable with this watch but I started to get 10 day old WhatsApp notifications that were long red and dismissed. They just kept coming back.
Alexa doesn't work half the time either as at claims the app isn't running (it is, on Android 10 I can't even disable run in background).
When Alexa is working, she doesn't hear me unless I shout at the watch or tap the mic with my finger first to get things going.
I returned mine today as I don't trust in any updates fixing these issues.

I am having the same issue. I have performed every step under all the suggestions and still am not getting texts or calls on my versa 2. So frustrating.

After reading this forum apparently not receiving texts or calls on the Versa 2 is a common problem. That was one of the main selling points for me on buying this watch. I am very unhappy and if I can't find a solution to the problem soon I will be returning my Versa. You pay this much money for a watch and expect it to work properly. If customer service does not fix this issue within the next couple of days then I will get a refund. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

I bought a Christmas Versa Lite for my wife and we are disappointed with this issue. I think I'll go to BestBuy to return the watch.
Please, do you have any predictions for solving the problem? Or if it will be solved...
