Hi, my Fitbit is overheating when charging. My watch is now completely dead despite trying to restart it several times.

Same here!   I can't get it to turn on either.    I'm so glad the thing didn't catch on fire, it was so hot when I got home today!!

Unfortunately it probably has got water in it?

You may see condensation through the windows on the back.

@SunsetRunner  - unfortunately the damage may have been done, They are supposed to be waterproof but there are often problems with the seals which can also deteriorate over time with exposure to hot water, detergents etc.

You could always try letting it dry for a week on it's left button side, but be very careful charging, if it gets hot at all stop immediately because there is a risk of fire or explosion.

If it does recover you can expect the battery to not last and things to not work as before which is sad because the Versa is a great watch, and it is unlikely to be under warranty and is no longer made.

You can always contact Fitbit Support directly. Also reachable via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support.
