Versa randomly counts steps and loses sync

I tried to reach out to Fitbit multiple times on the issue of this thing counting random steps and regularly unsyncing with my phone.  Now the sleep portion of the watch doesn't even work.  It all started about a week after the manufacturer warranty of a whopping 60 days expired.  The company's customer service said it was my fault and that when I was taking it off it was next to a fan or refrigerator or something vibrating (which it was not).  You could put this thing in a secluded vacuumed empty space and it will still count random steps.  The Fitbit customer service has done nothing for me, they just can't admit that they have a terrible product.  By reading the thousands of comments on here of having the same problem it's clear that this product just sucks and Fitbit won't even offer a refund or gift card or anything. I will never buy anything Fitbit ever again.

Hi, did you try to do a factory reset to solve the problem? The sleep issue is a known problem, but the rest is not. How to perform a factory reset, see this: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Versa-is-stuck/m-p/3107938#M60276. Let me know if that worked for you. Good luck.

BTW, I use my Versa now also for a few months and do not have any problems with it, except the sleep, but therefore I found a workaround. So, IMHO, it's not trash, but maybe you're just unlucky.

@SunsetRunner It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa has not tracking your steps accurately and it's not syncing properly. I know how frustrating this is for you.

However, I would like to follow up on and would like to know if the issue persists or or if the issue got resolved after following the factory reset steps that shared @SunsetRunner.

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy
