I was using my fitness band and it was accurate and never counted steps while I was driving a bike... Versa counts steps when I m not wearing it when I'm in my car... while driving a bike.. ridiculous!

Hey @Rudhra, a warm welcome to the Forums.
Can you please tell me how are you logging the activity biking? Are you selecting it directly from the watch? Keep in mind that your Versa might register some steps while you are biking since you are moving your shoulders and it might think that you are walking.
The same while driving, Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that the watches and trackers do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads.
If you think that the amount of steps is exaggerated, I recommend doing the following:
1. Put your device on your wrist.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your device to see your step count.
And let me know how many steps it recorded.
Hope to hear from you soon. ![]()

@AlejandraFitbit - I've got the same issue while riding my Motorcycle to commute daily - My Versa at the end of the trips accumulates 2k+ steps for ~30 mins ride. Hence, at the end of the day, I get close to 5k false steps added to my total steps for the day (to and fro ride). To eliminate that I've to go into the activity and adjust those false steps via adding it as DRIVING. I've used - Moto 360, Apple watch, Amazfit Bip before opting for Versa but never seen so many steps added while riding my Motorcycle.
This is really unacceptable from Fitbit - Can we have a fix for this, please?

Thanks for the information and participation @Rudhra and @Ramesh24.
Manually logging the activity "Driving" works to negate that extra information that your watch is recording while you are driving, I recommend doing this.
About the steps being recorded while charging, I would like to know if there was a fan or anything that may have been buzzing or vibrating on the same that your watch was placed? If so, I ask you to try placing the Versa on a different surface without any vibration and see it this issue persists.
See you later. ![]()
