Versa restarting by itself

Today during my workout my versa restarted itself and I chatted with support about it and I am keeping an eye on it over the next week. However now as I am sitting at my desk, my versa just restarted itself again. Anyone else having this issue?

I received my replacement watch yesterday. So far so good. Hope it stays that way!

That actually happened for me as well this morning. Into my mid-swim workout 36 minutes in, my Versa just restarted to the Fitbit logo, but it did log up to that part of the workout, was worried that it wouldn't. Had to wait a bit and then re-trigger the swim workout again and went on.

I'm going to keep an eye on my Versa for future swimming, just in case it happens again.

Mine was also around 30 minutes into my workout. It also saved data up until that point, but it also happened the other day and no data was saved.

Same for me this morning twice.

Mine did it during a hike.   I lost the data from before the spontaneous restart 😟

This appears to be impacting others.  here is another thread:  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Versta-stopping-in-the-middle-of-exercise/td-p/2657784

I’ve had mine for 4 days and it’s restarted a few times- thankfully not during a workout- but annoying nonetheless. Is it just an issue with the device overall? Sounds like getting a new one isn’t necessarily the solution.

Mine did it this morning during my workout! I guess I will keep an eye on it. How disappointing.

My Versa restarted again shortly after I made my first reply.  I called customer service and they advised that I do a factory reset of the device and then download the Versa again.  So far it has not restarted again.  All of the information stayed on my app, so I didn't lose any data there, just on the Versa itself.  If you want to give it a try, go to settings on the Versa (swipe left to the settings 'gear'), under settings scroll down to 'about, then scroll down to Factory Reset.  I'm hoping the restarting issue was a result of the problem they were having with connectivity and perhaps whatever fix they did caused the device to need a fresh reboot.  I hope mine continues to work as it should.  Good luck with yours.

I haven't had any restart issues since I posted this initially. Fingers crossed they've fixed the glitch 🤞🏼

Mine has been restarting randomly too. Not during workouts, but mostly during sync. I am going to try the factory reset like was suggested above and see what happens.

It is so frustrating, as it's usually when I'm trying to sync. It turns off, so my phone can't find it, so the app gets confused, and I have to restart the app once the Versa is back on and then it usually works.

Sounds like a software glitch. Hopefully it will be fixed with a factory reset. Fingers crossed.

My Ionic did the initially before the RE upgrade.

Well tried to wait it out and hope for the best, unfortunately it has become an ongoing issue. I will be sending in my versa tomorrow in order to receive a replacement.

I suspect it has to do with the clockface.

Some clockface may cause the versa to crash.

The clock face I was using was one of the ones made by Fitbit, either way still not acceptable.

I know when I used the space x clock face my versa would restart itself when I synced it. Since I’ve changed the watch face it hasn’t restarted.

I am having this issue also; my versa reboots at random times several times a day. I contacted support and they had me do the factory reset yesterday evening. Unfortunately, it just rebooted again as  I am typing this!

I am also using the Space x watch face, so I will try changing that and see if there is any improvement. I love my versa but am really disappointed that it is so unreliable/unstable.
