Versa's touch system not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa went crazy mid exercise, now it won’t recognize touch commands, I’ve tried the resetting and also the turning it off and on but it just goes back to the same thing. It’s even vibrating on its own without notifications.

Hi @Marszoid   Have you tried a Factory Reset? If not, give it a try, but if you continue tonhave problems please come back here

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

@Marszoid Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Versa is not responding to the touch system. Thank you for trying the restart process before contacting our forums.

I would like to follow up and would like to know if the issue persists or if it got resolved after trying the factory reset instructions that shared my friend @NellyG.

If you found her post helpful, please accept it as a solution so other users can find it easier.

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy

I did the factory reset but the Touch keeps vibrating on its own. I’ve already removed the Tempered glass and replaced it but it keeps doing it. It’s vibrating and moving the touch pad on its own. I bought this on November, not even six months.

I already did it, the touch is still doing things on its own. I don’t even have six months with it, my Alta HR never had any issues, now I don’t know why I traded it. I’ve read this is a common issue, where can I submit it for warranty?

Hi @Marszoid The Versa is out of the Fitbit refund window, but if it is defective they should replace it under warranty, I would think. You can either wait for @JuanJoFitbit to come back here when he is available, or contact Support yourself (link in my signature)

Hi, let's start with the simplest solution: press and hold the left button for about two secs and the activity screen will show. Is your screen activation set to automatically or not? If not press it and it will switch to automatically, so whenever you move your wrist, the screen will be activated. Good luck and see my signature. Thanks.
