Versa screen and battery issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got my versa last August it worked perfectly until I did a firmware update. The screen became unresponsive, If I want to go into any menu I have to hold the buttons in for 12 seconds. This only helps for a short while. I go to a boxing class where we do a run first, then back to the gym for the boxing part of the class Its not convenient at all to keep resetting. I'm also having issues with battery drainage. I was delighted when a new firmware update went out a couple of days ago I thought it might fix things. It seemed to fix the screen for that night but now I'm back to square one. And the battery is even worse, i fully charged it last night only to wake this morning to find it flashing red at 3% then it went off completely. Ive managed to get it back on but it will not charge it is on its charger flashing. Can anyone help me please before I take a hammer to it. LOL.

Hi @Kimberley0113, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

Regarding the screen and battery issues that your Fitbit Versa has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours
  6. Finally, try the tips listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your watch

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi @Kimberley0113, thank you for getting back. Regarding your question, the data that it's already on your Fitbit app or account, will not be lost. In order to avoid losing current data on your watch itself, I recommend syncing it before performing the factory reset just in case.

Let me know if you have more questions.
