Versa screen doesn't work

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Fitbit Versa for about a year and the screen became unresponsive. It is completely dark, yet was still syncing with the Fitbit app up until a few weeks ago. I decided to reset it, and it stopped syncing all together. I tried charging it, but it still doesn't work. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

This is disappointing because I had a Fitbit Charge a few years ago that broke only after 7mos of use 😞

@SunsetRunner welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen became unresponsive. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains the restart process but you can skip it and proceed with the rest. After this, charge your Versa for 2-3 hours and see if it gets back to life.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

I just plugged the Fitbit Versa back in. According to the app it was 6%, it
is now 25%, so it isn't a charging issue. The screen does not work.

@SunsetRunner thank you for getting back! Since the issue persists, I'd like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful for this type of issues.

Please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed.

Let me know how it goes! 😀

I just went into the Fitbit app and synced. My battery was 58%. I then changed the clock face and the screen was still black; it never lit up. I tried to change the clock face again now it won't sync at all.

When the Versa is charged there is a blinking green light underneath. It occassionally vibrates, like when I'm under the 250 steps per hour goal it still sends a reminder buzz at the 50 minute mark. It does not vibrate when I plug it into the charging station, nor does it light up or show the battery icon. I tried to restart provided in that link and it did nothing. The screen is still black.

Thanks,

Sara B.
