Versa screen is completely black

my watch charged last night and quit working this morning. I tried to reset but nothing happened and when I put it back on the charger the watch got really hot.

The same thing happened to me with the Fitbit versa on Sept 30.   Wore it to bed, woke up to check time & watch was completely black.  I tried to power it off holding the left & right buttons.  Nothing.  Called support and still under warranty so sending a new one.

Same thing just happened to mine this evening. It was working fine earlier.
I’m also noticing that the battery life is soooo bad after the latest update. 🙁

Same thing for me tonight - middle of a workout and the screen just stopped working. Now i can only see a white dot. I know it's working because the watch still vibrates when I receive a message and it's tracking my steps while on, but other than that … It's weird that so many people experienced the same issue TONIGHT. How is that possible?

I sent mine back for replacement earlier today but noticed this evening in the Fitbit app I have an update pending for my watch "settings".....I'm wondering if recent software changes may have in someway corrupted the older generation Versa2 OS.

The same thing happened to me yesterday in the middle of a workout and I had just charged the battery. The screen in black and nothing shows up on the screen except when I put it on the charger.

I had the same thing happen to me during my workout. I can tell that it's on because it's still syncing but the screen is completely black.

Same here. Nothing seems to be working not reset or charging. Is this it for my watch?

Mine is coming up at about half brightness then switching contrast so the background is white and the text black, is still syncing etc but I can't use the watch itself!
