Versa screen issues

After the new Versa was released mine which might I say was working absolutely perfectly all the time updated. With this update I got a huge white ring around my whole watch face along every border. Tried changing faces, restarting and everything I could think of nothing makes it go away. As annoying as it is that's not the worst part. I am no longer able to swipe right for my apps or down for my messages. Sometimes I can get it to swipe up. To top it all off I would love to be able to afford a new one. But I am watching every dime right now and don't have any extra to buy one. If this was a way to force us to buy the new Versa it might backfire. I have been hearing a lot of good things about your competition.

Hi @CDunk, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear about the screen issues that your Fitbit Versa has experienced. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset.in order to fix this issue. To do so on your device, follow the steps listed below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.

Finally, try setting up your watch from scratch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I really appreciate you reaching out. I did the reset you said to try. It didn't help. It still will not allow me to swipe for the apps or swipe down. I can swipe up some times. The white halo around the whole screen no matter which clock face I choose is also still there. I really loved my Fitbit until this upgrade. Now I can't use it for anything other than a watch and step counter. Disappointed.
