Versa screen not working

My watch is picking up my heart rate and steps (via app) and syncs without issue. But the screen is totally blank on the watch. 
It started yesterday - the screen was permanently on for a while, now it won’t come on at all. 
I have tried restarting, and factory reset, but still have blank screen. 
help?

Unfortunately my versa is about 18 months old, so no longer under warranty.
