Versa screen unresponsive

My versa screen has become unresponsive to touch. I am able to use the buttons, however I am unable to get the screen to swipe to allow me access to the settings to perform a reset. The battery went flat 2 days ago and I thought it was purely not responsive due to a low battery, however now it has been fully charge, it is still not responding. Any tips?

@ainsleym4  How long did you have your Fitbit before it would not respond to touch? I am having the same problem. I am told there is nothing they can do and I have to buy a new one.

I had mine less than a year ..... but they replaced mine.  Contact them on Facebook Messenger, they were really helpful.

Mine is past the warranty is they won't replace it. I had mine a year in
January. After the update in March it quite responding to touch.

I had my fit bit less than 1 year. I have had 3 fit bits in the last 3
years , everyone of them have quit working..

Thank you! I did the same and after the logo showed up, I let go of the bottons , it came back to life! Thank you

 VERSA Fittbit fully charged, app updates perfectly. Touchscreen completely stuck- non responsive, impossible to shut down. How to proceed?

Contact them via Facebook Messenger ... the page is Fitbit with the blue official check mark.

Does anyone else think they should make a recall for this? 

 

It seems like it's happened to so many of us, and to many of us after the warranty has expired.

I have tried all the tricks and it is still not working I can feel it buzzing but screen is completly unresponsive.  I have had this watch for over 2 years and it has always served me well. I am so sad.

Yes I am having the same problem with my Versa, have tried the reset, but same problem with unresponsive screen.....did anything work inbthe end or did you just give up?

Hi! This has happened to me recently. Tried to do a factory reset multiple times but the swipe right, up and down doesn’t seem to work. Also I can’t seem to press start for a workout. Is there anything else I can do?

I never got mine to work. They offered me 25% off because my
warranty expired. I was un -happy with how they handled the issue. My
Versa was just over a year old. My son bought me a Samsung Galaxy for
mother's day. I love it. I have had no issues. It will be a year mother's
day I have had it.

Thank you for letting me know! This also happened to my father, so he switched to Garmin. Mine is under a year, so I will try and get it replaced.

Uninstall app from phone.

Set up new alternate email account that your versa not been registered to before 

Press all three buttons on watch and put in its charger. 

Install new Fitbit app using new email address as contact. 

Put phone in blue tooth find new device...once found Fitbit code will appear on watch  the code will be requested on your phone. Enter on phone and then follow rest of instructions...it may take all night to charge both phone and watch must be left charging. Phone can be used whilst the download takes place. .

Fitbit help line  could not correct my original issue of frozen home screen and rotating languages screen and  offered me a discount off a new phone ..now not needed. Please try the above before investing in a new Fitbit.👍

This worked!! It's been the Best instructions I've found. I did have to hold those last two buttons nfor what felt like forever though.

This happened almost two years ago. I did everything that I was told plus
more. I did not try a new email. The Versa had a big red X on it after I
uninstalled the app. When I put the app back on my phone it could not find
it because of the red X. The red X would not go away. I turned the Versa
off and the red X would appear. I threw it in the trash about a few months
ago. It still had the red X on it after almost two years. My son bought me
a Samsung for Mother's Day back when it went out in 2020 and I have not had
any problems with the watch/activity tracker and it is still working great
after 2 years. I am happy with the Samsung watch/activity tracker and would
purchase another one. I would never get a Fitbit aganin. It was a waste of
my money and the discount they offered was not good enough for me to try
another one.
