I have purchased the fitbit versa, which is my first fitbit. Really love it so far apart from the battery life. I've had it for about 5 weeks now, first few weeks it seemed to last the 4 days as advertised but now I'm lucky if it lasts 2! I've not changed any settings or how I use it from the first couple of weeks I had it so no idea why it's draining so fast, any ideas please?

Not made any changes and I'm not using any other apps other than the fitbit one. Not used it for exceraize much last 2 weeks as children have been I'll with chicken pox so basically wearing it as a watch and the battery is draining far too quickly.

Have you tried resetting it or restarting it ?
I restart mine once a week

Yes I tried that last night after reading someone else's post. Then I fully charged it and within 12 hours I was back down to 43%

I'm having the same problem. In fact, mine was to the point of not lasting even 1 day. I saw a post that said if the charger was plugged into a hub (mine was) to change it to a port on the computer. I did and I'm on the second day and at 24%. Another post said to let the battery drain completely and then charge it. I'm going to try that today and we'll see what happens.
I have seen other posts where support has suggested returning the watch to where purchased. Don't know if I can do that since I purchased it at Best Buy and the return/exchange time was ended weeks ago. But, if the drain completely recharge doesn't help I'll check that post again and try to exchange the watch for one that hopefully has a better battery.

Mine so far seems to be behaving ok.
******** will be updating my battery performance *******
I am at 95% now @ 9.21 in morning.
I am at 91% now @ 11.24 in morning.
I am at 86% now @ 12.06 in afternoon. (Used it quite a bit to connect audio controls for my phone . set it up and its working. I can con control my music via Versa.)
I am at 83% now @ 12.31 in afternoon.
I am at 71% now @ 15.26 in afternoon.
I am at 69% now @ 16.20 in afternoon.
I am at 67% now @ 17.15 in afternoon.
I am at 63% now @ 20.44 .
Next Day when I woke up it was at 55%. (went for shower and left it on charge . taken off charge at 99% @7.30am)
@8.54 its at 98%
Have you tried factory reset and then re setup ? (if not then probably worth returning to fitbit for replacement)
(I have had charge 2 and Now fitbit versa) . never used their support but heard that generally its good so should be fine if there are any issues.
personally its the reason why i don't buy new tech these days in early days as there are bound to be issues which get ironed out as time passes.
will update it as the day goes*
Its draining faster than i thought to be honest. I also had trouble where i went for a walk but it didn't connected with GPS and kept saying "connecting" throughout my whole walk. 😞
so my walk is Logged but no GPS coordinates. which is disappointing. never had that issue with Charge 2.

I've been using Fitbits for years. Started with a zip (which my wife now uses), then a flex, a charge, a blaze and now the Versa. This is the first one I've had a battery problem with.
Yesterday I let the battery drain completely then recharged it. After 10.5 hours it's at 86% which is about right. We'll see how long it lasts and if doing another complete drain and recharge brings it back to its full performance. I've had the Versa for almost 2 months. It started out working great and I got 4 days/charge for almost the full first month then it started to deteriorate. If this works, great. If not I'll contact support and see where we go from there.
I'll update when I see how long this charge lasts.
Update: Went out for a walk, 1 hr 13 min. Watch connected to phone and phone also connected to bluetooth headset - I listen to books while walking. Also use Strava app to record where I walk. Power at 82%. So far, acceptable.
Update 2: Approaching 35.5 hours since charge after complete drain. Watch is at 32%. That should give me a little over 2 days. Unacceptable. Going to support about an exchange.

Keep Updating Edmart.
I bought mine from Argos so if it gives me trouble its going back. I liked Fitbit as a brand but when you pay £200 you don't wanna be having any problems.I bought it to help me manage a healthy lifestyle not to cause "stress"

Hi again,
This is my report after getting mi Versa SE replacement:
It arrived last week's monday (may 28th), charged it for the first time at 21:40 hrs for about 1:20 hrs because it had about 60% of power left. Tried the stock/normal settings as I did with my original/faulty Versa SE: Fitbit Watch Face (Layers), Connected Gps turned off, Always Connected: on, Continuous Sync: on, Notifications on, Auto Wake Screen (Quick View): on, Screen Brightness: Auto. No workouts, just +10,000 steps each day.
I'm very happy to anounce that i had to recharge the watch until Saturday (june 2) at 23:00 hrs with 7% of power left. This means that my replacement watch consumption rate was 93% in 121 hours or 0.77% per hour, very very good!
Today is tuesday, june the 5th, at 20:22 hrs and my watch has 51% of power left, that's a 0.72% per hour consumption rate considering that I recharged it just for about an hour, amazing!.
Now, there are some important notes to add:
The last bullet is what worries me. I've read posts from people reporting that started to have energy consumption issues like me after upgrading from 32.32.10.15 to 32.32.10.20. I don't know if I should upgrade it or not, I guess that I'll have to do some research in the corresponding forums.
I'll return if there is something new/relevant to report,
Thanks to all for your reports,

Mines exactly the same..charged fully yesterday afternoon and its now 40%. Been told by fitbit to let it fully lose battery life and see how long it has completly lasted. I train every day so charging isnt a thing i can do all the time. Ive turned off everything that i dont need opened and its still draining. Luckily i bought from qvc so i have a 30 day money back guarantee...please get intouch with fitbit on messenger. They can see everything from their end..

Have tried everything suggested and battery continued to get worse, lasting less than a day. Also last night when I was flicking through different screens on the watch there were blurred lines coming up. Defo not right so taken it back today (to Argos) it was just outside the 30 days but they didn't mention anything due to it being faulty I guess, straight forward refund.
Not sure wether to get another, and if so am I better to go directly to fitbit?
I really liked the watch up until the problems just don't want the hassel of getting another and having problems again...
Thanks for all your advice and comments everyone.

Debbie get it from Amazon if you wanna get another one.
I had to buy from Argos as i had Gift vouchers to use given by my company. Usually for these things I find amazon service second to none. They take it back if you are unhappy no questions asked.
I am happy with my Versa so far.
its now 15.06 and my battery is 91%. just came back from some beach walk during lunch.
it was 99% when i charged it in morning to top it up from 50ish %

I fully charged my versa this morning at 7.00am and by 7.30pm this evening received email notification that I needed to charge it again. It is 18 days old. If you turn everything off so that the battery lasts longer there is no point in paying for these features to begin with!

Hi my versa is 7 days in my possession. Mine lasted 30hrs b4 it needed fully charging. I agree why have all these things you can use but cant because of the battery there is defo no point in having one. Ive been in touch with fitbit who have opened up a case to resolve this, im awaiting a call back. They are alot of money if you cant enjoy using it without worrying it will run down... i will keep u posted.☺

Update:
I did the drain/recharge Monday night. It didn't work, watch wasn't going to make even two days.
Yesterday I contacted support via chat. I explained what was happening and they wanted me to once again do a restart/drain/recharge. I did that yesterday evening and the recharge completed at 9:30PM. It is now noon and the watch is at 62%. It obviously is not going to make two days let alone four.
I have emailed support updating them on the present outcome of the restart/drain/recharge and have expressed my frustration (nicely.) I have asked for either a solution or an exchange. The exchange will have to be with them since I can no longer return the watch to the retail establishment where purchased.
Waiting to see support's reply.

I suggest you to make the following changes and you will notice a huge improvement as it made the big difference to me. (I think the Wifi on versa watch uses a lot of battery. its there but i think its not a fully baked feature and is causing problems. switch it off and you lose no functionality bit i suppose it stops the hunt for wifi connection which results in improvement of battery)
1>Setup the watch again and this time do not setup Wifi on Versa.
2>Also some watch faces use more batter than others. I have installed fitbit watch face which they advertise (in Adverts)
I charged mine this Morning at 100% at 7.30 in morning. Its now 17.19 and I am 90%.

Worth a shot but I'll hold off until I hear from support. Who knows, that may be their next solution.
PS: The WIFI Settings on fitbit mobile app says "Setup WIFI" If I click on it it shows my home network (not connected) but says it will connect to it to transfer and sync music. I told it to forget my wifi network and now it is gone. Watch shows wifi off which is what it said before I removed my network. We'll see if it makes a difference.

So I received my Versa back in April and have always gotten my expected 4 days of battery life until this past week. I tried a new clock face and noticed a significant drain in battery life so I returned to my previous clock face restarted the Versa (Settings -> Shutdown). This did not fix the battery issue. I went into the app and checked my settings (Apparently the last update turned everything on) and turned off all day sync, always connected, and keep alive (It should be noted I did not have to turn this all off when I was getting 4 days before). I only open my fitbit app twice a day to sync and am still having to charge at least once a day now. In the last hour I've lost 8%. Something has gone very wrong with either my battery or the update.

Hey there @Magic28 and @Kaz35! I appreciate all the great advice and help @Magic28! I'm sure Support will help you further with this. 🙂
Welcome @Kaz35! Thanks for sharing your experience with Versa and for all the troubleshoot you have performed before posting here. Please double check that you have followed these steps to restart your Versa. And, if you haven't done so, try a different port to charge your Versa. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub and remember that this process might take up to 2 hours.
To better assist you, I've created a Support case on your behalf. You should receive an email from Customer Support at the email you used to register with the Community forums.
Keep me posted if you have any other question.
