Versa shuts off during exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa has been shutting off during exercise (running, walking, elliptical and workout options).  It won’t read my heart rate or calories burned then it shuts off and goes right to main screen.  This is very frustrating and wondering if there is a fix?  I have shut down and did a restart a few times.  I have disconnected and reconnected with the Fitbit app.

@Jess_Eger, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa turns off during your exercises and won't read your heart rate or calories.By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. After this, set up your watch as a new device and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I was also having the same problem and did the factory reset. It is still happening

I did a reset and update back in November when I first reported the issue.  It worked for a few workouts, but it is still happening.  Must be Fitbits way to make sure you buy a new one after a year.

Yes November is about when mine started acting up - Ugh sounds about right but I am absolutely not buying a new one though

If you do a factory reset do you lose the groups/communities you are in?

Any solution yet?

I have the same thing continually happening with my Versa. So frustrating, not to mention it doesn't track my heart rate or calories burned accurately. Might be time for a different brand of tracker!
