Versa step accuracy

Hi.

After numerous problems with notifications being at least temporarily solved (for now....I think), I am now having issues with the step count not syncing properly. It’s Monday, 12/30. All seems to be right now, but my step total from Saturday, 12/28/19 refuses to be correctly calculated or updated.

It is showing only around 5200 steps when I know I reached a steps goal and was over 10,000. This is especially frustrating as I am currently participating in a steps challenge that has monetary prizes at risk.

I have signed out/in app, turned Bluetooth on/off, turned. Wrap off/on, etc.

I purchased an “upgrade” to Versa 2 that I haven’t unboxed yet. I’m co side ring returning it due to the recent issues with Fitbit/Versa. I can’t see investing in the brand any more after all of these issues. It’s such a shame.

I appreciate any help with the steps issue.

Thanks,

Erin

Hi @EBaby, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Does this occur with steps only or with other stats too? Which mobile device are you using to sync your Versa?

In the meantime I receive your answers, if you haven't already done so I recommend you to check our help article: How accurate are Fitbit devices? to learn more about step counting accuracy and then restart your device following the next steps:

  1. For Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.
