Versa steps not syncing with challenge

My steps are syncing in my dashboard, but not in my work week hustle. I'm so frustrated and need to find a fix plz.

@Jpelas It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Make sure that the Challenge is still active as it will run with the creators timezone (if the period has ended on the creators timezone then no more steps will be counted even if the day hasn't ended on your side). Also logged activities won't count toward challenges. Finally make sure that your Versa is syncing properly (you can tap the Versa icon on the app to see when was the last time it synced). You can read more about challenges here.

 

Please let me know if any of these situations were causing the problem.

@sajwood Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!  Sorry to hear that your steps aren't syncing with your challenges. As stated above make sure that you are syncing your Versa periodically and note that manually logged activities won't count toward the leaderboard or the challenges. Also be aware that if the challenge creator is in a different timezone then the challenge will start and finish according to their timezone and not yours.

I've tried all of the above as well and it won't sync to my challenge.  My challenge is in another time zone, but I still have a few hours to sync it with my Versa, but it won't sync!  I've tried shutting it down and turning it back on, I've tried forgetting the device and reinstalling it.  I love doing the challenges, and so am really frustrated that the people in my challenge think I haven't gone any steps this week!

I have a similar issue.

My mum always sends work week hustles and it used to work fine.

Just in the past two weeks or so I remain at 0 steps while everyone else is syncing fine. If I start the challenge myself there is no problem. I do not log my own steps, the versa is syncing to my dashboard without issue.

Could it be a recent update that has broken this feature? Is there a plan to investigate it?

I have the same challenge issues, versa says one thing challenge says less steps. Tried everything.

I'm having this issue too. I don't have any manually logged activities, and the people I challenge with are in my time zone. My Fitbit is syncing to the dashboard, but not all the steps show in the challenge. Just cost me a win yesterday 🙁 I hope Fitbit is working on a fix

I have the same issue. I am currently in 2 challenges, one in my time zone and one an hour ahead. The steps are showing over 9,000 steps difference...I can't figure out why.

 

The one in my time zone is correct, but not the one an hour ahead.

Happened to me twice now, first time was 9000 steps two weeks ago, and now this week is 25000 very frustrating

I found out that if I was participating in a challenge in a different time zone, I had to start when they did. Usually it's 12:00am for us. If thay are 2 hrs. Ahead than I would start at 2:00 am. Any steps i had before that was not included.Sent via the Samsung Galaxy, powered by Cricket Wireless

This issue just starting happening to me.  Up until this morning, my dashboard steps matched my workweek challenge steps.  Now my dashboard steps are 8k above what is showing up in the challenge.

I'm not using any 3rd party apps and not logging steps manually.

Why are there no longer any answers in this thread?  I don't see where the answers given helped and more people have commented.  I am in two workweek challenges.  One is syncing no problem.  One did not grab any steps from yesterday.  Both were started not only in my timezone but are with people in my state.  I have tried a reset.  The community will die if people don't actually get answers and help.

My steps are syncing in my dashboard, but not in my work week hustle. This is the second week I still have this problem after trying all the support fixes.  This is frustating.  This will be my third versa replacement.
