Versa stopped recording data for almost two hours.

My clock face is counting steps and showing active hours. I was in Walmart so I jnok I was getting steps. I have a nearly 2 hour Gap in my data for today. The app and website dashboard both show a 1 hour, 54 minute period where no steps are counted, no heart rate data is stored, and hourly activity is not counted. This has happened before, but I am worried that it is getting worse. I have restarted my phone and the watch but recurring gaps are not okay.

Hello @Robert38117, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment, I would like to ask you for a screenshot of when the Versa did not track your data. You can go to the heart rate tile and show us the gap of information showing here. Now, if this happens again, my best recommendation would be performing a factory reset on your Versa. Take in consideration that performing a factory reset will delete the apps you've installed, your personal settings and the data that hasn't been synced yet, so please sync the Versa before performing a factory reset.

Then, tap on the Settings app in the Versa  > About > Factory Reset. After the process has finished, you will need to set up your Versa as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.

Did the advice you were given help? By clockface and fitbit app show my total steps but for some reason show no data between 8am and 12pm today, same with heart rate no data between 8am and 12pm even though the steps i did during this time are not showing on the graphs they have been added to the total for the day.

I never found any fix.  I have recently had my Fitbit replaced under warranty after the battery failed; so far the replacement has not had these gaps in data.  I'm not sure, I have no answers.

I experienced the same thing today. I’ve restarted everything, deleted, etc and nothing has worked.

Did you ever get any resolution? I experienced this yesterday where my Fitbit was accurate on my 250+ steps an hour, and my heart rate but my app did not show me moving at all ALL DAY. However, it recorded my steps accurately.

No, and it’s happened twice now. I’ve also learned that when I’m in the water (I’m a swim instructor) things don’t seem to calculate either....

This is what mine is doing. However, the Fitbit itself is recoding that I was active for all those hours.

Ever since the 32.68.9.12 update, I have gaps in my heart rate data of anywhere from 1 minute to 4 minutes that occur approximately 90 times a day. I followed the Factory Reset protocol and it did not help. I also noticed that when I had an erratic heart rate that the tracker totally stopped taking measurements. Can you please help with this problem?
