Hello there @dlhoward.
While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
If your device is compatible, I'd recommend to follow the steps provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

Thank you I read your reply and it appears that they are stating that I have to purchase a new phone for my device to work properly. I think that it should have been reported to the consumers that this does not work on all android phone as they clearly advertised it does. I now elan I would have never purchased this product and I never would have if it was stated that it only works for a while and then quit on you.i have only had this device for 8 months and bad to send the first one back for not working. I feel that I have been cheated with this product

I have the LG G7 ThinQ and was having no problems with pairing or syncing until today. I'm guessing there was an update this past weekend? I am no longer able to sync my Fitbit Versa to my phone. Following the help steps told me to unpair the device from the phone. Well, now I can't pair it anymore. So frustrating!
I hope this gets figured out soon. I'm not buying a new phone just to please my Fitbit device.

I had the same problem after the new software update. I could not pair my Versa with my iPhone 8 Plus (which is a supported phone), even though it had paired ok before the update. I reset my Versa a number of times, still wouldn't pair. Eventually reset my phone, then my Versa again, and finally it paired. Have you tried resetting your phone? Worth a try if you haven't...

Qualen - Before I received your reply, I tried a few things. The ideas given by the Customer Service Representative were not helpful. I ended up restarting my phone and my Versa again (as you later recommended) and it synced up right away. Strange! Anyway, it's all working again. I just wish updates wouldn't cause so much grief. Also, unsupported phones?? I'm no techie, but $800 - $1000 phones should be able to manage whatever the Fitbit has to offer. Not sure why Fitbit doesn't work well with some of them.

I agree..anytime I have an issue they bring up that the phone is not compatible.
I want my money back then. Makes no sense why they would say the phone is compatible with android.
And if previous app worked fine with phone why would you do and update that does not work with several phones. So disappointed.

I have the same phone and all they do is direct me to the article saying it is not supported by their system. They should definetly state that in big bold letter saying it is not compatible so do not buy.

New LG V40 phone with same problem - started giving me the wrong time yesterday, then did a factory reset and now it won't go through the set up process to repair. Very frustrating. Tried going through the help desk problem only to be told it's not a supported phone.
Guessing it has something to do with the app update that dropped a few days ago.
