Versa stopped working after charging

Several nights ago I attempted to charge my Fitbit as the battery was getting low. In the morning I went to put it on thinking it would be all charged up but the screen was black. I pushed all of the buttons, tried holding different combos of buttons for various lengths of time and nothing. I thought maybe I put it on the charger wrong so I plugged it back in and went to work. When I came home same thing. Black screen and wouldn't do anything. Tonight I pushed all of the buttons again but in the dark this time and I get a flicker on the screen but that's all. What gives? It worked fine before I attempted to charge it.

@Caik01 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!

Let me help you with your unresponsive Versa. Not sure if this is a display issue or a charging one so I suggest you try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help your tracker charge.

Let me know how it goes.

I cleaned the prongs with alcohol and a qtip as instructed an nothing. I plugged it into both the wall and the computer with no signs of life. I then attempted to charge it via USB on my computer and again no life. I took it off the charger and held all 3 buttons to reset it and the screen started flashing but as soon as I put it back on the charger it stopped.

I haven't even had this device a year and it won't do anything! I've tried changing the face, I've removed the device and attempted to start a new device setup but it won't do anything. My app cannot locate my Fitbit to be able to do anything. It worked completely fine up until the update. This is my third Fitbit and I have always valued the fitness aspect of Fitbit over the technology of apple but if this doesn't resolve I'm switching to the apple watch. Aren't updates suppose to improve a device not make it worthless junk?! And now no one can even help me?! My last sync was 10/22
