my versa got wet , while in the ocean, but not lengthy swimming. dried it off , noticed it didn't hold a charge

the first day. next day it was totally black, and would not charge at all. my versa is about 3 years old  I believe. I got it when versa first came out. thought it was water proof, always swim with it on, so didn't think anything of it getting wet. do you give replacements?

Hi there @bbrasile, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa stopped working after swimming. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

Please note that all Fitbit trackers and smartwatches are water-resistant, which means they're rainproof and splash-proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout. You can swim or shower with certain Fitbit devices. Fitbit Versa series are swimproof up to 50 meters in a lake, pool, or ocean.

Does your Versa vibrates when you connect it to the charger? Do you still see the green lights flashing on the back? If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

About your inquiry, keep in mind when a Fitbit device suffers damage while under warranty, you can contact Customer Support. Discounts and replacements depend on tracker model and other factors.
