Versa way overcounting my steps

I have had my Versa for about 18 months and really love it.  However, for the last two days it has been way overcounting my steps.  Over 35,000 steps yesterday and already at over 41,000 by 1130 a.m.  When I woke up this morning, it showed just over 150 steps and quickly reset to an insanely high step count.  I try to get 10,000 every day and usually make my goal.  I don't know what is going on.  I have updated the firmware and restarted it, but nothing changes.  I don't want to do a factory reset if I don't have to.  Can you help?

Hi @lhstuart3

I'm sorry to hear you are having an issue with your Versa. This may sound crazy, but you may want to try restarting it multiple times to see if that fixes the issue. If not a factory reset is the next option. Doing a factory reset isn't as traumatic as it might sound, if you sync before doing it, you won't lose any data, but you will need to reconfigure any custom setting you have on your Fitbit, for example reordering your icons, setting alarms, and so forth.

Give restarting 3 times a try first and I'll keep my fingers crossed it does the trick for you. Best of luck!
