Versa will not unlock

I purchased a Versa a few years ago, I used it for a bit then put it away...due to work.

In the meantime I upgraded my iphone as it was not letting me sync information. I put it away again!

I decided I wanted to wear it so I charged it up, and changed the band and the Versa has locked me out.

I have tried to do a factory reset, tried turning bluetooth off/on, and multiple other ways to get it to unlock. I was even able to find an older version of the app to my old phone but it still wont unlock.  As a last resort I removed the Versa from my dashboard hoping that a factory reset would work....it didnt.

NOW I have a consistent message 'Unlock with your phone' I receive a code as I can hear it vibrate and my phone provides me with a place to enter it but I cannot see it through the 'unlock with your phone' message.

Fitbit service was helpful and talked me through, but the reset didn't work.....they then said it was NOT covered under any warranty and offered me a $35 credit.

Not an acceptable offer when I paid $500 for a limited edition for this device!  Other than buying, anyone have any other suggestions??
