Versa won't set up

Hello

I bought a second hand versa watch last night. My phone is older so I thought I may have trouble with it communicating but I figured I would use fitbit.com. My phone sees the watch but the watch is either black screen, frozen on the fitbit logo or scrolling through different languages. It also won't sync with my laptop which is newer. My bluetooth works with other devices so I don't think it is my laptop. Help!

@Sheilamkc   You must have a phone that supports Android 10 or iOS 15, minimum, to set up your Versa.  You cannot set up or sync with a computer.  That feature was disabled.

Hi there, @Sheilamkc. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that you're still having difficulties to set up your new Versa.

As @LZeeW has mentioned, the Fitbit app for computers has been discontinued and it's now required to have a compatible mobile device to set up and sync your Fitbit device. For more details about the compatibility requirements, click here.

It is too bad that they discontinued the connection to a laptop. My laptop
is only a few years old. Now I am forced to spend a few hundred dollars to
buy another phone just to use the fitbit. Fitbit is limiting their audience
by doing that. I can't afford a newer phone so I guess my fitbit is a paper
weight
