Versa won't sync

My daughters versa connects to Bluetooth, can change clock face but won't finish syncing. Have tried all the tricks in their manual about forgetting Bluetooth and restarting devices. I've tried from my phone and from her iPad.

So it starts syncing and it just never completes? It allows you to change the watch face so it does communicate with the phone.

Is it a Versa or Versa 2?

Did it work before? If so what changed? New phone app? New firmware to the watch? Something else?

Yes to all that. The only thing that changed was time passing. I tried
reinstalling the app and that didn’t help. I don’t know about the firmware
version.

When i try to sync it runs for a bit and then says Sync cannot complete and
the link to fix it goes to the website and ive done all that.

I honestly don’t know if its a versa or versa 2. I bought it in 2019 and I
can’t find the receipt.

My Versa 2 is doing the same thing! Last time it synced was10/22/22 at 4:31pm and I had trouble getting it to sync that time!

Go to the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture. There is a listing on the screen for “Account” that tells you what your device is. If you tap the device picture the screen it takes you to tells you about the device, including the firmware version.

Try these steps from a different thread. Don’t know if it will work, but worth a try. It may also be worthwhile deleting the phone app and reinstalling it after the force quit step.

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.
