Versa won't take a charge

Yesterday morning I noticed my Versa was off and would not turn on. I put it on the charger and within a minute the logo came on it appeared to be rebooting.

Thinking the battery had somehow drained, I left it on the charger for a few hours. Afterwards when I took it off the charger it was off again and would not come on. I tried the two button, and three button reboot methods, both for over 3 minutes each, with no luck.
As soon as I put it back on the charger the logo came back on and it appeared to be rebooting on its own again. I got the main display briefly and was able to sync it, before it again shut down and it shows 100 battery.
Now on a different charger and power unit, the logo keeps cycling on and off. If I take it off the charger I can not get the display to turn on. When I put it back on the charger I get a brief red 0% battery image before it appears to start to cycle rebooting over & over.

I have cleaned the contacts, used two chargers each on a different powersupply, left it on the charger for hours, and still have the issue.

Chatted with support and having me attempt to sync the Versa while it was on the charger they were able to confirm the issue. A replacement is already ordered.

I am having this exact issue.my watch appeared to drain to zero today. I put it on the charger and as soon as the logo appeared, it has 100%. Take it off the charger and it dies again. Hoping this is some glitch with FitBit. Also said the watch face couldn’t connect, to change it and then it connects.

@HgTstr I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'm so glad to hear that our Support team took care of your case and you were sent a replacement unit. Thank you for posting the update here. Don't hesitate to get back if you need further assistance and I'll be happy to assist you.

@RubyS30117 I'm sorry for replying to your post late as well. Nevertheless, I appreciate the troubleshooting steps that you have tried in order to get your Fitbit Versa to take a charge properly.

Please try cleaning the contacts of your Versa and the charging cable with a cotton swab in order to remove any dust that the contacts accumulate and doesn't permit the watch to take a charge properly. Once you've cleaned the contacts, try charging your watch through another USB port for 2-3 hours and see if it keeps the charge after removing it from the charger.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy
