Versa won't track sleep data

No sleep results on my Versa 1 - Latest Firmware and Latest App on an Iphone.

Anyone else have trouble with the sleep results or lack of results?

I should be dead based on the amount of sleep I have had in the last month.

In the app it reminds you to "Wear your Fitbit to bed" I rarely take it off once I replaced the original band.  (I had to take it off often as it would create a rash under that plastic /silicone band that is supplied)

Interestingly it is recording my heartbeat.  (the app is showing a constant time line)  It would be even better if the app could allow you to zoom in to the graph to see every log point and have the ability to export it.

Using the Web Dashboard the Sleep hours slept is missing the legend of what day each block is representing.

Interestingly it is reporting blocks I assume are days but the phone app is not.

Regardless of that mismatch between Dashboard and the phone app it still does not record my sleep some days.  Other days it only thinks I have slept little for example one day it recorded a total of 17mins sleep for the day!  It should have been closer to 4 hours.

I have the latest firmware and latest app  VERSION 32.71.6.19 -

Hi, welcome back to the Community forums @SunsetRunner.

Thank you for all the information you've provided about your Versa watch.

Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you already tried to restart your watch following these steps? Let me know if your Versa is still not recording your sleep after this procedure. You can find additional details on how sleep is tracked in this article

Please keep me posted.

@DavideFitbit

Thanks for the reply.
I’ve restarted the Fitbit a Couple of times since my first post only to find the same results.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I also read the the link you supplied on how the Fitbit Versa works out sleep ie the algorithm rules it uses.
This might be part of the problem as it says it is waiting for no movement for an hour before it would consider you are asleep.
This means anyone who moves at all won’t get a reading.
May I suggest that a new switch(Program addition) is added to the software (and an alteration to the algorithm) that users a broader rule like wait ~10 minutes and start recording as sleep.
This could be flagged as a guide only that may supply incorrect results.
This approach may also pick up the “nana nap” or “siestas” or “power nap” which may only be 10 mins or longer.
To make the algorithm more accurate use the resting heart rate as an indicator as well as movement.
I don’t get correct results from the sleeping reports from my Versa. It is disappointing.
Also it never reports my sleeping on the versa screen. Sleep can only be read via the phone app.
