My Versa SE stopped working today, I put it to charge (it was at 20% when I did so). I want to check on it after a few hours. It felt really hot as I took it off the charger and it didn't seem to turn on from that point. A few days later I'm trying to charge again but it just seems to keep heating up substantially and doing nothing else. Anyone knows what might be the problem?

Sounds like a failed battery. That is an old tracker and the battery may have given up.
