Versa won't update via Bluetooth or WiFi

I have tried to update my original Versa for over a month. I tried everything suggested on the Troubleshooting page: uninstalling my Charge 2, turning off the Versa, uninstalling and reinstalling it, trying to update via Wifi and Bluetooth. Nothing works!

I contacted Customer Service, who admitted that my watch is defective, but won’t replace it, since I bought it > a year ago.

I now believe that Fitbit has deliberately issued a dysfunctional firmware update for the original Versa, forcing users to buy the Versa 2.

Has anyone else had problems updating the original Versa? Any suggestions?

@LjenzDragon, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa experienced update issues. I'm also sorry to hear that it's no longer under warranty. The warranty period is good for 365 days, starting from the date of first setup.

I totally understand how you feel about this and we appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if any question arises.

I have the same problem ......... my Versa was losing time and refused to sink so I removed it from app and tried to re-add it .....big mistake it refuses to recognise it is there.

Have tried all the solutions offered with no luck.

These watches are too costly to replace when they hiccup, I already have the charge 3 gathering dust in the drawer because we can’t have 2 so called smart watches on one account.

Think I might bite the bullet and do without the sleep function and get an Apple Watch. Fitbit has become just one disappointment after another after many years of great service whatever or whoever you changed was an enormous mistake.

Amazing how there seems to be so many problems with the old Versa since you brought in the new .... not a good incentive to buy it in my view.
