I received as a gift a Fitbit Versa on Friday and was most impressed up until yesterday evening, with the crashing app.
My fitbit was updated to the latest firmware last night, and my iPhone app to the latest version this morning and since this combination of "updates" my fitbit will no longer vibrate to alert me of text / imessages, yet it still vibrates for phone calls, and the nag to complete 250 steps.
Any clues on the cause? or just poor user assurance testing before software release?
In case you ask iPhone 6 running 12.4.1.

Thanks, I managed to get it going again by a combination of removing Fitbit from my account, deleting app from phone (despite it being new version) and installing and linking everything again.

@Ian1509 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it stopped vibrating when getting text notifications after updating the firmware update. By the way, thank you for letting me know the brand of your phone and the update version that it's running.
Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, turn off the text notifications, turn them back on and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

Pixel 3 User. We tried all the suggestions about notification settings and turning off "do not disturb", etc... Only calls worked until reading lan1509's post about removing the watch from the Fitbit app and then uninstalling the app from the phone and starting over. I think that notifications only work if you turn them on during the initial setup of adding the watch to the app account. When we did that, texts, calls and 3rd party notifications came in as advertised and with vibration. I guess if this ever happens again after an update or something, we will uninstall and start from scratch again.
