Versa wristband problems

Bought fitbit versa April 2018; shorter wristband snapped within 6 months when being inserted on the charger.

Attached the longer wristband which broke while being fastened on 21 November 2019; the unit is now well out of warranty.

Wristband was always difficult to fasten & remove, due to the lack of flexibility of its tough rubbery material and the tight fitting retaining band. Use in a hot, humid climate possibly reduces comfort.

Until this aggravating problem is fully resolved I cannot recommend the purchase of the Versa model, with this type of wristband.

Suggestions for a compatible, comfortable and durable wristband welcomed; thanks.

Its such a shame they cannot make a product to last its suggested warranty period and as a well known product still choose not to do anything about it. I only wear mine at the gym and at my desk job, take it off to shower and believe I look after it quite well and still only get 6 months out of it before snapping. It is really disappointing considering the money paid for the product in the first place.

Exactly! I'm having to get a 3rd band replacement in a year and a half. It's crazy! The band needs to be more flexible so it won't crack every 4 to 6 months or less! I don't wear mine in, or near, water. Learned my lesson on that 1st time forgetting to take it off for a shower! ?? And it's supposed to work while swimming? Ha! Too bad this app doesn't have a Product Review place. $200+ and counting spent on a supposed "great brand" pfft!

Experienced the same problem today.  Very disappointed.  Fitbit has lost a loyal customer who have used her product for more than 5 years. 😒
