Versa2 Heart Rate Monitoring

Is there a way to make the versa2 recalibrate the hrm? I've returned every smartwatch I've bought so far because of this one feature and the extremely wild numbers it throws out. I have a calibrated hrm cuff that shows my resting hr at 57-61 bpm. At the same time the versa reports 89-110bpm. Never lower than 66. This is one feature that I would want to work 100% correctly.

So far I have return the fossil, and samsung smartwatches, and several fitbit etc.. hrm devices. The hrm wristwear that seems to be the most reliable is that of the forbidden fruit, I won't buy any of their products ever for any reason.

So is there a way to tame this thing? Or, do I just return it?

Optical heart rate monitors just don't work well for a few people.  You might be one of them.  If you're just going to return it anyway, why not just buy the Apple watch.  Buying and returning a watch it is not something that benefits the company in any way.

On the other hand, even with questionable heart rate, you are still getting a nice watch with color display, thousands of possible clock faces, step tracking, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, relaxation app, Fitbit Pay, challenges to motivate you to get more active, Fitbit database keeping track of all your activity along with some analysis and all historical records, many downloadable apps, etc.

The thing to try that might help is a restart.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
