I have a brand new Versa2. Right out of the box it's displaying only a data not cleared screen with a Red Cross. It won't pair. Cycling on and off doesn't clear it. I've updated the app, cleared all other bluetooth connections from my phone, turned the bluetooth on and off again, restarted the app repeatedly. Nothing. It won't pair and it's essentially a useless pretty pebble right now. What else can I do?

Several thoughts I have @rosegrrl
Since your asking about the Versa 2, let's put down the phone.
When you opened the box up, the Versa should have been off.
Let's try a restart by holding the button in for about 8 seconds.
If this doesn't work then try a factory reset.
Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
When the Fitbit logo disappears:
Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates the factory reset.
Finally since you say that the Versa 2 is new, I would exchange it in the grounds that it isn't working.
