Weather App Issues After 32.32.10.20 Update

First the good - after this update, sync and notifications are much more reliable, on a par with previous Android smartwatch . So thank you for that.  Other than the strange weather behavior, my Versa is now working to my complete satisfaction.

Regarding the Weather App:(and note that I've confirmed GPS being passed to the phone correctly by verifying this inside the Exercise app)

1.  Behavior on the watch itself - assuming that Current Location is presently one of my 3 allowed City locations (read #2) maybe I get the current location weather updated once or twice/day.

2.  Behavior on the phone/Fitbit weather app - cities randomly dropped from what I had set up; this happens every day.  For example, if I have City A, City B and Current Location defined, the app will decide to remove City B and Current Location. So then I only see weather for City A on my watch until I re-configure the phone app again.  Second observation - if I only have City A and City B defined, the app will retain both cities and nothing is dropped.  So the issue seems to be that anytime you include Current Location in your city list, the app starts dropping what you set up.

Fitbit, this is very poor behavior compared to your smartwatch competition. My previous watch seamlessly and reliably switched between locations to show me the weather where I currently was, and doing so within the hour all day.  So this is what the consumer marketplace expects, and I ask you to prioritize fixing this issue ASAP.

@4degree Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear about your issues with the Weather app on your Versa. Try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there, restart your phone and restart your Versa by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

Now sync your Versa again by opening the Fitbit app, make sure you have the Keep widgets alive option enable (tap the Versa's icon on the Dashboard and scroll down to find the option).

I am curious to know if you are using any of the default clockfaces (made by Fitbit) or a third party one? Have you tried changing it to a Fitbit clockface? Additionally you could try removing the weather app from your Versa, restart your Versa and install the app again.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for replying. I've done all of the restart, set up the watch again stuff, etc.  Using the Ask Weather watchface from 3rd party developer.  I supposed I can temporarily try a Fitbit watchface although I went to this one because I really liked the layout.  I can let you know if there is any difference.

Best regards,

Neil

@4degree hope you are doing great! Did you try using a Fitbit clockface? Did you notice any change in the behavior after the change? Did you try the suggestions in my post? Also make sure you have your Fitbit app up to date.

Keep me posted!
