My weather app is only working when I am synced and connected to the fitbit app on my phone. Does this app not work over wifi? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Same issue. Fitbit is synced. Everything updated except weather. Weather screen says it needs to update. Disappointed that so many others are also having this issue and it does not appear to be resolved
Update: I called fitbit technical support. After they also verified it was not syncing properly by having me repeat the troubleshooting steps, they confirmed it was a firmware issue. 24 hours later, my fitbit app on phone was frozen. I uninstalled, reinstalled, abs now the weather is synced. I'm not sure if it is just another quirk, but I chose to believe they fixed it. Thank you
Weather app is working for me also. I only have location on when I sync, not all day sync.

Best Answerweather app worked for a while and didn't need to be synced to app, now all of a sudden it NEEDS to be synced to the app all the time to update. Is this an app update?
Aha! Got the weather app working again by allowing the fitbit app on my iphone to access my location 'Always'. This also updated the values of sunrise, sunset, temperature, max temperature and min temperature on my Orda watch face which had not updated for a week or so; I must have switched off location services while I was on a trip and was worried about my phone running out of battery.
I only noticed because I went on a run for the first time since my trip and the exercice app on my versa warned me that I should switch location services on to always.

Same issue here. Fitbit weather app says to sync to update even though it is synced a minute ago. In addition, the current location is not there any longer. I cannot uninstall the button on app says installed and it grayed out. I have shut down watch. android phone, turned off and back on Bluetooth, unpaired and paired versa on phone. Also now will no connect wifi. says an error has occurred. Thinking maybe a factory reset? Does anyone have any advice?
Been having the same issue myself for last 48 hours. Think it may be do to with moving to IOS 12 or possibly Firmware issues on the Versa. Fix is relatively easy - go into Settings, scroll down to Fitbit app, Location is the top option - mine was sitting at 'While Using the App' so I changed to 'Always' synced the Fitbit with the phone and the weather appeared immediately.
I hadn't every changed these setting before myself so this is a case of one set of software changing permission in some way but it seems to have resolved the problem. Hope this helps !
I bought my versa last week. The weather app and notifications worked perfectly fine for like three days; now my weather app continues to say sync the Fitbit mobile app to update and now my notifications won't load.
Have it on all day sync. Weather app says sync with phone to update. Even when I do that it will not update. Doesn't show current location even though location is enabled.
Ever since the update the weather info is not syncing to my Versa device.
Before the update I had no issues.
I have synced several times with no luck.
The app is open and running on the Fitbit app.
Any help would be appreciated.
