Why are clock faces small on the fitbit versa

When I pick a clock face and sync, the clock face is smaller on the fitbit, a black space on all 4 sides shows up, like it is not full screen?  Can it be full screen?

No, I'm afraid not. There is a bezel around the screen that is not usable. 

If you angle the versa just right under a light you can see the bezel when the clock is not displaying. It's much the same as the unusable bezel you get around the edges of a phone.
