I found the way to change the list of exercises in the app but it hasn't changed on the device even after syncing. Did I miss a step?

It sounds like your phone and your Versa are not connected. Open the Settings app on your phone and then look at the Bluetooth settings to be sure your phone recognizes your Versa. The only other thing I can think is that restarting your Versa might help. Hold the left button and the bottom right button until you see the Fitbit logo...after a restart, my Versa is working fine.

Took a couple of tries, but I finally made it work. And thanks for the tip about resetting the device!
