On new phone, did you try to create new account? If so, don't. Just log in with same old account. The account is on the fitbit server, not on the phone.

Is their someway to remove the app and start over/

To remove the app from your phone, that is strictly a phone function. On my Android, I touch the app shortcut for a few seconds, then drag to "Uninstall" at the top, but that procedure probably varies by phone, Android version, or IOS. However, if you do uninstall it, then download the app again (Android from the Google Play Store) and just log in with the same account/email.
