In the English language a stride is 2 steps.
The Fitbit V2 allows me to specify my "stride length".
All the instructions I have seen seem to say that it is asking for a measured step length.
Is that right? Does FitBit think 1 stride = 1 step?
In Fitbit, 1 step is movement of one foot. "Left, right" is 2 steps.
Stride length is forward distance between toes after 1 step.
Best AnswerJohnnyRow,
I suspect you are right about Fitbit's definition.
But this is what Google says when you search for: strides vs steps
Step length is the distance between the heel contact point of one foot and that of the other foot. Stride length is the distance between the successive heel contact points of the same foot.
I think FitBit is confused.
If you are in doubt, look at the default set for your stride length.
