Hi there! Love the look of the new Fitbit Versa! However, any word on if Iphone users will be able to access the quick reply text feature? Or is that only going to be offered to Andrioid users permanently?

Thanks!

You can use custom set quick replies or go into the wallet on the right top of your Fitbit app and iunder notifications it shows quick replies. You can customize or use the preset on Android devices.

Captain-Canuck, Sorry but I didn't take a screen shot before doing the update, In the app on my phone there was a a downward facing arrow in a red circle in the upper right corner or the main dashboard indicating that there was a pending update.

Awesome!! I’ve enjoyed mine since I have had it and have gradually upgraded
from the original Fitbit. My best friend has an Iwatch and wished she had
got this instead.

This is actually not true about Apple. As Apple has enabled this feature for Garmin devises. Now this is day 2 and again another feature promised in your ads is not working. There is absolutely nowhere any message before buying the Charge 3 that the quick reply feature does not work for Iphones and yes, it is a bit harder to work with Apple but they do allow other companies to do quick replies. Again, I was mislead in your ads about the real working features of Charge 3.

I finally see the pattern here. FitBit subscribes to
what is known as “blitz marketing”.

It’s where you introduce a product before it’s features are ready. Yet you still claim it has those features. The Chinese actually started this. They throw A junk product into the marketplace and clean it up later.

It’s disingenuous, and without regard for the consumer or negative reviews. This is the second or third major feature FB claims to have, but doesn’t.

Oh trust me, if my Apple 3 watch lasted more than a day for a charge, and had a face store, I would have kept it. There will never be a reply feature for FB for iOS. They lied.

And the worst thing is that they don’t even try to keep the customers “calm” about this question, by feeding us with some answers, not even lies, that it’s ongoing or that it will come a certain date. They just keep quiet. I even mailed them about this and also wrote on their Facebook, but haven’t got a reply yet after 2 weeks.

I maybe can live without this feature just to stay loyal, but really consider to buy another brand just because of there lies, ignorance and bad support.

Could you please point me an evidence the feature is available for Garmin? All I found are articles stating that while with Android it is possible for iOS this isn't (latest update added the possibility to clear notifications). Thanks

Actually. I’m also upset. Wasted my money on the versa. Should’ve gotten me an Apple Watch :watch:️

@Estatao I totally agree. You should express your dissatisfaction in the Apple Community Forum and complaining about the closed ecosystem.

Or complain to to fitbit that sells a watch and says that it has quick reply, but does t announce that it’s NOT WORKING with apple

So freaking pissed right now! Apparently I missed the “does not work with apple” for quick reply’s. I am praying this comes soon. Feel like I just wasted my money. 🤬

Yup, they weren't all that transparent about that. Having said that, I ditched the Apple watch because it is really distracting...to me...I just need to know who said what. Rarely is it a medical emergency that needs my immediate response. Most can wait until I get to my phone. That and the 1.5 hr charge keeps me away from Apple... for now.

I hope it’s available soon!

I bought this for my daughter for Xmas and I’m really upset that I did!

£200 is so much money but I was sold on its ability to reply to texts. Perfect for our needs to keep in contact.

This is what the product details state, it’s what the adverts said, it’s what the man in the tech shop said.

So I bought it, it was unwrapped, daughter was so excited.... then we discover she can’t reply on the watch as she has an iPhone...what the hell?!

Can we return these? I really feel it’s false advertising!

I was just thinking about how inconvenient it is to only have quick replies. While it would be nice to be able to just use the watch to type completely, it wouldn’t be feasible while keeping it small. It would be awesome if FITBIT could design a sleek wireless Bluetooth keyboard that was pocket sized so that you could type a reply on this and send it directly to your Fitbit device. Just a thought. I hope Apple comes to soon!

Maybe but I wouldn’t want to spend £xxx for that feature... I’d settle for being to use the features I’d paid for when I purchased it.

Then shouldn’t people be notified somewere that this can’t be used with iphones before they purchase a fitbit.

I agree they should disclose it doesn’t work with text replies on iPhones.
It is misleading especially when you get texts on a regular Fitbit. So
anyone would assume if texts come through your Fitbit through your iPhone
the capability should be available to quick respond. I still like mine but
it would’ve been nice to know that it wasn’t available for iPhone users.
