My fitbit versa2 does not seem to record sleep stages any more, why? It does not even record when I fell asleep and woke. This functionality has been in my versa2 from when I bought it and now it is just gone! what is going on?

I don't know. Wthat does your Fitbit app says the reason is? Look under the graph of the sleep in question.
Was sleep 3 hours or more?
Had there a good heart rate?
Is heart rate turned on

Same here. It has worked only once since I got the Versa. I had the same problem before with Charge 2 (2 or 3 years, and sleep stages only about 2-3 times during the 1st year), and I was hoping that the problem would disappear with Versa, but it didn't.
I do sleep for more than 3 hours, and I've done resettings and what not following support advice.
So I just gave up! Not wasting any more of my time after this.
Now, I'm certainly NOT going premium if I get no sleep stages at all!!!
If some day fitbit fixes it and I find my smartwatch recording sleep stages, I will re-think about getting a premium membership.
