steps not registering while on a treadmill

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

ok, I get that I can set "exercise" to "treadmill" but if I am walking on my treadmill, these are STEPS, so why does Versa not register my steps?

Also on my dashboard on the website, it says my best steps (ever) was 5000. Not true! How do I edit?

Thank you!

If you are holding hand rail on treadmill, steps might not be recognized because wrist with fitibt is held steady, instead of swinging normally as when walking.  If you can hold rail with one (non-fitbit) arm you would get steps.  If not possible, you can probably get good step count if put tracker in pocket or clipped onto clothing, though losing heart rate data for that time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
