versa 2 notification service not running + redmi note 8

Hi I recently bought a new phone- a xiaomi redmi note 8. I have managed to enable notifications for calls but not for messages, whatsapp, snapchat, messenger or email. A red box appears when I click into notifications on the fitbit app stating "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re- enable notifications on your tracker."

I have tried restarting my phone and also restarting the fitbit.

I have tried enabling the notifications on my phone for the fitbit

I have tried managing notifications in the fitbit app and have selected the correct apps for which I want to receive notifications

I have synced my fitbit with the phone.

I have uninstalled my fitbit app and reinstalled it again.

I have cleared data in settings with fitbit. 

I have turned on and off bluetooth on the phone and also reset the fitbit.

None of the above have worked

I feel  that I have tried everything at this stage. Please if you know how I can sort this let me know.

Hi @dwy20 , according to this list, your mobile device is not supported by Fitbit yet, that's why you experiencing these kind of problems.Meanwhile, if you have a windows 10 PC, install the Fitbit app on your PC, pair your mobile device with the BT devices of windows 10 and start the application. You will seen the Dashboard of Fitbit's app and you can sync your mobile device with it. Only limitations are that you will not be able to change Clock Faces and/or download apps. regards kuzibri
