My Versa 3will not charge (tried two chargers) and I get a message the the unit is overheating and I should try again once the watch cools down.  The watch is not hot and is at room temperature.  What can I do the charge my Versa?

It's a pleasure to have you here again @JMsquared, although I'm sorry you're having trouble charging your Fitbit Versa 3.

Thank you for letting me know that you have already tried some steps on your own, it's much appreciated.

As a first step, I would like you to try cleaning the charging contacts on the back of the device, using a toothbrush and some water.

I also need you to clean the pins that are on the charging cable, you will have to use a cotton swab and a little disinfectant alcohol, making sure that no pieces of the swab remain on the pins.

Finally you will need to connect it to another USB port or a UL certified USB wall charger and just in case you haven't done so yet, please restart the device holding the button for 10 seconds.
