So my fitbit versa which has always given me my phone calls and text notifications stopped giving me the notifications back in November. The customer support fellow told me it was a known bug. They did nothing for me. Felt like I wasted money because I bought this version for this purpose. I'm a registered nurse and I like to read my messages and like to click the respond back I programmed saying I am with a patient will respond soon when my kids message me.
Well I have uploaded the latest updates and that functionality still doesn't work. I love the statistics from my fitbit, I just want the messages to come to my watch. What to do?
Does messaging work on the versa 2? Please help.

I have the same issue, this may help you, (sounds a lot but takes only a few minutes) these steps are for Android, sorry I don't know about others..
Turn off Bluetooth
Turn off location
In settings, click apps, Fitbit, storage, then clear cache and clear data
Go to the Fitbit app and open it
When prompted, turn on location from within the app, and tick the offered permission boxes
When prompted turn on Bluetooth from within the app and give permission
When prompted to allow permissions for contacts etc, agree
It will probably sync now
Press notifications (under the general heading) and check you have WhatsApp or SMS, your email account etc then click on App Notifications, they will all have become unticked so select all again
Sorted!
If you use Alexa from your Fitbit, you'll need to go into that again from the main Fitbit app page and give permission again
If you would like to be aware the next time your Fitbit loses connection I suggest downloading a free clock face with a temperature option since when you lose connection the temperature reads --, and at least you know you won't be getting any notifications anytime soon..
