Ability to customize the stats/apps on Inspire series

There are several functions that I do not need or want and there is currently no way to turn them off. I would normally just ignore them but my FitBit has this annoying habit of just randomly switching to something it thinks I want, when I have done nothing. It's as bad as driving a car and when you stop at a light, the car decides you want to park so it opens the door for you. I want to control my screen, what it shows, and when it shows it. Currently I can do none of this.

That is 400 votes in 9 months, not very active but not my con earn.

My thought is that every tracker released without the ability to customize, users are forced to make a request

We really should not have to continually bring this up to the developers attention. I find it unbelievable that Fitbit is still releasing trackers without the ability to customize.

can you just please tell us why you refuse to make editing the order of
items on the device adjustable?

Please allow the user to omit and/or reorder the sequence of tiles when scrolling on the Inspire HR.  If I want to see if I've got my 250 steps for the hour, I have to scroll through things I don't even use (as I don't log my water) to get there.  Since I use the data-heavy clockface, most of what I have to scroll through is already on the first face, so it would be very helpful to delete some of these (or at least put them later).

This request has been around for six months now - I guess a new inspire type will be released in the next 18 months - so I guess it safe to say the change is unlikely to be available

I agree with the nice person that asked why standard functionality in the past suddenly becomes a voted feature in the new world without an explanation

If you wish to promote loyalty in a brand - I do not believe this is a great approach

Hi @MRR62! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing why you'd like to be able to rearrange the stats displayed on the Inspire HR. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. Don’t forget to post a comment and click on the thumbs-up to show your support!

I'd like to have the option to put a selected statistic in large font instead of the clock. When I'm running I can't read my heart rate because the font is too small - and I don't run with reading glasses 🙂

Yes, please add the feature to rearrange what we see on the tracker. So many people ask for it how come it has not included in the firmware update?

Dear mod,
Why not elevate the priority of this suggestion or, you know, implement it?

You already know how to do it (Alta and Alta HR)...

1) new clock face that includes Time, Date, heartbeat and Calories count.
2) a feature to customize clock face based on user wish

Hi @Eladl! Thanks for sharing those ideas. We wanted to let you know that one of the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Feature Suggestions Board. You can see it here:

New clock for Inspire HR

New Clock Faces for Inspire

You also had shared a unique suggestion, so we have retitled and relabelled your original post here to reflect that idea. Please try to make sure you only post one idea per suggestion, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for. Thanks for participating in Feature Suggestions!

Is someone gonna actually do something about this? I see posts dating back to Jan on this.

I didn't know about the lack of customisability before I bought this.

The team who okayed the omission of this feature should be fired. What a poor decision

I don't think these recommendations are getting to Fitbit at all. Suggest we post our recommendations directly to the Fitbit Facebook group. At least that will warn potential purchasers of the Inspire that a simple feature like customisability is not included in what is Fitbit's latest range.

Adding my voice to the fray. I recently killed my Charge 2 (probably by too much water) and decided on the sleek design of the Inspire HR. I'm very disappointed that I cannot customize the display in the way I could previously. For example, if I don't want to accidentally display my weight to anyone who happens to be looking, I have to remove my weight loss goal. Very frustrating that a newer version has less customization ability.

I agree. I don't want certain personal info on my watch, like tracking my period or my weight.  I should be able to choose my options.

Would really like to have this feature, to either move around and hide certain stats. Is there any plans to add this feature to the Inspire HR?

I just want my Inspire HR to show Heart Rate & Calories Burned RIGHT AT THE MAIN PAGE without scrolling.

Something I was able to do with my Charge HR.

Please make it happen.

I ahbe an inspire hr and they just added new clocks with animal faces on there. Not cool. I would like to see one with time , date, and bpm. I only have one leg so the step counter does nothing for me. And heavy stats is a bit much . it would be best to be able to personalize it the way it fits my needs. Thanks for listening .

Hi @Deezjammin, thanks for taking the time to share your suggestion about having the option to customize Inspire clock faces, with us! I've moved it into a similar suggestion. We rely on feedback like yours to help us develop products and features that we know our community wants to see. If your suggestion receives votes from other customers and gains popularity, it will be shared internally with various teams at Fitbit. I tried looking up how to do this when I first got my inspire HR in July. I was disappointed to see it was not available, but hoped with people speaking up on this page some sort of software update might be released. I am disappointed to find that still no action has been taken. I was really motivated to buy the inspire because it is waterproof and am very happy with that feature. Unfortunately it is sad that fitbit cannot figure out how to have consistent adaptability features across their devices, because it seems regardless of what device you choose you must give up some useful feature. This seems like a no brainer to add since it is possible on other devices, and optional for users to use if they like it.

As the original poster mentioned, some of the options can be harmful to people's mental health, for example those with disordered eating. Moreover, people with anxiety or other control focused mental health disorders may take issue with how cluttered it can be to scroll through every possible thing to be tracked to get to the one they care most about. Please consider looking into this, it is not only a convenience thing for many, but there are many morally salient reasons to consider this as well Fitbit team!

I've just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to remove some of the screens from my Inspire HR.  I don't want to see that many statistics when I'm out and about, and it's tiring to have to shuffle through a bunch of stats I don't care about to get to what I do. Please update! I was so excited to get this latest Fitbit, and now I'm not even sure I want to keep it.  This is massively disappointing.

Stepping Up

I completely agree that I should be able to remove the stats I don't want to see from the watch face.

Also, I don't find the response "let's see what other community members think about this response" to be very helpful; how about some more information, like "if this idea gets x number of votes/comments we will implement it" because I don't see much follow-up even after quite a few people have commented/voted.

Please allow removal of any options I want on Inspire. What a drag scrolling endlessly.

Totally agree with the previous comments about changing the items on display. Just moved from an Alta HR and find not having the ability to customise a total pain.
