Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

I hope every long-time Fitbit user takes the time to tell you how Ugly the updated UI is. It actually looks kind of cheap and amateur. I also do not appreciate having this horrible update forced on me.  I have bought many Fitbits as gifts, owned several over the past years, but will not be buying again, because the new app interface is just awful.

What have you done to the dashboard. It is definitely not an improvement
We need to be able to choose to go back to the original one if we want to

Yes I hate the new one, it’s useless!

It's absolutely awful. How can they see this as progress. They've taken away all the customisation ability and made it impossible to differentiate between tabs. The colours they've chosen are ugly and dull making it difficult to see at a glance the information I'm looking for. The settings of what you want to focus on are ridiculous. I want to see all my information at a glance not have to trawl through endless tabs. Maybe they'll make it more streamlined but I am definitely not getting another fit it after the face inevitably falls off this one.

I would love to go back to old tracker I really don’t like this one. I want my steps at the top so they are easy to see quickly! Also do not want weight on display!

Even with my geriatric eyes I can read the screen from 50 paces. My dashboard has gone from just over one screen to 4 screens. Totally agree with all the previous feedback. Already checking out the competition’s offerings.

The new app screen is really awful. Totally user unfriendly, too large for screen. Can there be an option to revert to old screen.

Totally agree. It’s really difficult to see the difference between any of the categories now it’s all white. The different colours for each category are what made it so easy to navigate before. Now I feel like I’m scrolling forever and it all looks the same. The high-level overviews were much easier to navigate - I don’t want everything on one page then have to scroll for ages. So un-user-friendly.

Totally agree. I find the new interface overly simplistic and patronising. It's as if Fitbit think our tiny minds can't cope with too many numbers. I've been a Fitbit user for over 8 years and despite the shoddy hardware have stuck with them. But since the Google takeover the app has gone backwards. Once my current Fitbit does I'm moving to Garmin.

I completely agree with you, what was Fitbit thinking

I just spoke with a customer service representative, you can’t change it. Really annoying as you have to scroll miles every time you want to log something. The old version was so much better. Fitbit why? Why can’t we have the choice? My view changed without me being asked… please bring back the old one.

How do I go back??? This app update has me livid. As someone who checks the app over 50 times a day, I couldn’t be more disappointed. I feel like I have to start all over again on my fitness journey and I could actually cry at how much I HATE HATE HATE it.

The new revised app is useless, difficult to navigate and has added useless-to-me categories that are simply wasted space which complicate the process.  New is not always improved!

I will likely be switching to Apple once my fitbit dies.  Unless you can allow us the option of reverting to the previous app.  WHo needs this kind of complication?!

Couldn't agree more, I've been with fitbit since 2015 and I would have been hard pressed to move to any other device however this new design, and the lack of detailed data has done it for me I will be looking for new alternatives. Because this new update has removed everything I like about my fitbit.

The changes to the app is horrible, it looks too simplistic. The fact you can't see your total steps just daily average is really uninspiring. You can longer compare days, months or years. What was wrong with the old look?

The App upgrade also has some problems with sub-page/window box header text colours being indistinguishable from the box colour (cannot easily tell where you are or where ‘back’ is for example).
The previous format was much better and versatile in my view, if it was an option I would change back.
It might be a coincidence but my charge 5 has also stopped uploading or recording Activity information/data since the upgrade - cannot seem to overcome this with reset.

For me, it isn't even about the look. I do weightlifting and with the old app I would put the start time and duration of my weight lifting into the web site and on the app I could see my heart rate that was recorded on during my session.  Now there is no more heart rate. Just when I thought fitbit was nearly useless for weightlifting, it became even more useless.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I have used if it products since 2014 and seen a lot of changes. None as horrendous as this to make me create a profile and comment.

First being the removal the the step steak. What?! Does anyone at this company use this product to understand what a broken streak means?!

No more battery percentage. Why? That’s silly.

No little fireworks for completing all daily goals?

Sure, add stupid stuff no one uses if you want but taking away the main features is ridiculous.

My devices generally don’t last more than a year or two so I have always upgraded to a new Fitbit device. This latest update will have me looking for a new fitness tracker.

I agree that the new app is horrid, cumbersome, not intuitive, just awful - is it possible to revert to the old version?

Agreed, where has concise daily record gone now have to scroll scroll scroll to find what I want, lack of colour makes it a bland interface and section am looking for no longer jumps out to me, very disappointed now have to relearn using the app as if I am not busy enough - designers need to know this is a very bad job bring back precious app please

The new app update is unusable. It looks terrible the fonts and buttons are far too big. I have to hold the phone at arms length to focus, I can't wear reading glasses in the pool or gym. Anyone can see the stats from a distance, there's no privacy. It's a disgrace.
It's like a child's app. It's the final straw I'm not using fitbit again.
