Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

This new app layout is clunky and to be frank a big disappointment. Please allow users to revert to the old app. Remember the old adage, "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

I always thought if you spent your life building a business it would be
hard to walk away. I guess that's the old way. Now I guess it's build a
business just to sell it.

Agree with all the comments! New interface horrible

One thing that’s really missing is the week to week view when I clicked on steps. I now that to go and click through each week. I really liked seeing all the weeks in one page that I could scroll through

And just overall yuck look

Please allow return to old app,  I’m on my 4th Fitbit but unless app returns to old style it will not be my next.  Terrible!

You had such a good thing going, Fitbit. The app was intuitive and could be configured to be USEFUL to USERS. If this is what Google's purchase portends, you are going to lose a lot of active users. Also, is it just me or is the sync exponentially less effective and slower?

I'm stunned by the lack of response to this input.

I certainly won’t be purchasing a Fitbit again if this isn’t remedied and I won’t be recommending Fitbit to anybody either as the app was one of its selling points for me.

The new layout is not much different than the old. Just orgaized differently.  BUT Most of all I cannot find my friends. How do I do that?

I note the Moderator's comment. I also note that many companies say "thanks for the input", and nothing happens... We shall see.

As I said elsewhere, I too am decidedly UNIMPRESSED with this horrible "update". I too, am going to cancel my premium subscription for when it comes due- not sure now if at the end of this year or the beginning of the next, so I best do it now. I am also having issues with my charger, so maybe before I replace that, I should wait and see and maybe just go with a whole different tracker altogether since the app is so horrible now.

If you are on an auto renewal, cancel now so they have an idea as to why you'll not be renewing.  I cancelled my auto-renewal this week.  Unfortunately, mine just renewed last month.  I'm not sure what to make of the contact by the moderator.  At best its a very weak attempt at acknowledging complaints about the product from their base.

Regarding the FitBit website, user dashboard, and version 4 APP: Did your programmers, developers, and management take ADA and WCAG recommendations into account when designing content? The prevailing style looks marginal at best regarding contrast ratio and navigation. FitBit content design may open Google to lawsuits.

The absolute worst design. Can wait to move to a new product.

Hardly any company is going to roll back to a previous version. The best we can hope for is that they will take our feedback into consideration and make the next version more like what we had in version 3. When your customers like something be very, very careful when you make changes. The new app and dashboard is not friendly to people with vision problems. It is like who can read the fine print in white on white on the base of the new LED bulbs used in most homes.

The new layout looks cheap and tacky! And where is my data for the last seven days? It’s showing week to date from Monday. I want the past seven days! Bring that back!

for “Friends” go to You in the bottom right corner and then you’ll see a tab for friends

OK- Subscription canceled and my Review updated on the Google Play Store too! Unfortunately, too late for this year- but oh well, not happening for the new year!

Please please can we have the old app back. Multiple faults with watches and I keep coming back because of the app. Not any more, next time watch goes wrong, I'm moving to another device. You've ruined a great app. 😢

I absolutely hate the new Fitbit App.  It's boring, no color, can't show how much battery is left on the watch when syncing from today page, tons of things I don't use but still have to scroll through.  I am going to look into the Apple Watch, they're having a sale right now.  Also, on the Luxe, the batter level is so tiny I have to use a magnifying glass to see the level.  Before I could just go on the app but not now!  Change it back!

The Moderator Edit has changed the title from "Return to previous App displays" to "Able to return to previous app displays".  Ther is a big difference in the titles, since NO apple user is able to return to a previous App display.  There is no evidence that any developers form Google are looking at any of this input.  It would be nice to have some acknowlegement that Google cares about their customers.  I guess that is too much to ask.

I absolutely hate the new redesign. I used to look forward to using the Fitbit app, the colorful graphics and easy to read icons we chipper and engaging on the previous app. Now the overall look is bleak and depressing. Not very enjoyable to use anymore and not as easy to read. I'm probably going to cancel my premium account. I'm even rethinking using Fitbit and will be looking into other options that have a better designed interface. Makes me sad because Fitbit had a perfectly fine app just a few weeks ago... now it just makes me sad.

I couldn’t hate the new update to the Fitbit app more - less information, no color, hard to find information which was previously there, and not intuitive.  Please go back to your old app version!!

I created a product feedback thread last week related to the new interface and how it was a huge step backwards and it was getting lots of comments and further suggestions, but I noticed today that it was removed. Not sure why, you'd think the people at Fitbit would want to know if their updates are a hit or a miss. Now it just looks like they're trying to hide that many Fitbit users are unhappy with the changes.

I vote goodbye to your customer. Fitbit doesn't care anyway and making no attempt to fix anything. The update or now the crappy app!

Thank you,

Ginny

It is not the programmers or executives at Fitbit that made the decision to
degrade the App. Google owns Fitbit and it is the Parent Company’s decision
to make. As I had previously stated in other posts, Google is raping Fitbit
for it’s market leading technology and integrating into Google’s
smartwatches in order to gain market share and profit. Google needs to
recoup and capitalize and increase R.O.I. On the purchase of Fitbit in
2019. Google is not even trying to hide the rape of it’s subsidiary in the
launch of the new Pixel Smartwatch.
