Able to set multiple step goals

It would be great to be able to set mulpitple goals and get a buzz when you hit different steps 5k, 10k, and 15k!

I think you should add a notification when you reach half of your step goal and every half past your step goal and double your step goal.

I'd also like to see waterproof so I can leave it on in the shower

I would love to get a notification when I hit my minimum step goal and again when I hit the ideal. It seems that users have been asking for this for years. Is it really that hard to add?

At my hospital we get rewarded if we hit 6000 steps but I would also like my Fitbit to vibrate at my personal stucco, 12,000 steps. Would you consider adding the option to create multiple step goals?

I am a longtime Fitbit Surge user. I just placed an order with Amazon for the new Ionic. My Fitbit has for a longtime been set at 10,000 steps as a notification level, I would like to know: a) Is it currently possible to have a setting that gives two Fitbit notification levels -> 10,000 steps and then later in the day 15,000. (I, personally have two goals daily - a minimum 10,000 step goal, and an actual 15,000 step goal for each day); or b) can a programming change be put into effect allowing for two different step goals daily? Thank you, Rob Ausfresser

I would like to see this feature as well. I use my Fitbit to participate in Stepbets and would like to have it alert me when I reach my active goal as well as my stretch goal. It is a pain to keep having to check my steps.

Totally agree! I was searching to see if this was feasible and don’t see the option. I too would like to have more than one daily goal on steps so I can see achievements throughout the day.

That’s too bad. I’m still not sure why multiple clock alarms (which everyone already has on their watches or smart phones) is more important than multiple fitness alerts on a fitness tracker!

I agree. It seems like a simple thing to add and people have been asking for a long time. I’m not sure what their rationale is.

Allow the ability to add more then one step goal. So it notifies at 5000 and then 10000 steps.

Hi

Any plans to allow a weekly set up with different goals on different days? I guess for a lot of people this would allow a different program at weekends. For me it would be different on Monday and Wednesday as these are my rest days from work - thus I would like to be able to offset my active hours on those days.

I agree I would love to set a different goal for my rest day. I have my goal set higher on my active days and hate to not see the star on my relax day each week.

Love it when I reach my daily goal, but would be really great if you can set multiple goals during the day. For example, I do 5,000 steps before breakfast each day, so would be great if I could set my first target goal as 5,000 then my daily at a high number like 15,000.

Personal Goal Widget.

My personal goal is 10,000 steps and I achieve this early in the morning. It's great to see the green circle filled and a counter underneath that continues to grow throughout the day.

Would it be difficult to set a secondary goal, after completing the primary daily, and have that as a ring layer on the widget? Similar to the rings of a tree, you could finish the inner ring for 10,000 steps and an outer ring would continue to progress each additional 5,000 *option in settings*.

I don't mean to add multiple rings to the entire widget, just an outer thin one. Turning the exact way as the main goal had turned red to green. It would be motivational to continue going above and beyond your previously achieved goal.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your idea @Lord_Neil.

It's great to see users sharing things they would like to see added.

Let's see what other users have to say.

I set my daily goal based on how many steps I'm averaging over a time period.  Once I reach that I'd like to have a second "super" goal to reach for.  I celebrate going over anyway but it would be great to have the feedback of the app and more fireworks!

Not really a 2nd goal so much, but I think you should get a mini-celebration in your watch for every 10,000 steps you hit, not just the first.

I love this idea and also had a similar idea today! It'd be great that when you surpass the initial goal of 10k, the progress circle continues with a new color or a bolder green weighted circle  That way on days we kill it (20k today) it feels even better. Also if we hit 20k, give us another fireworks celebration on our phone!

I would love the ability to set at least 2 or more daily step goals. I like knowing I have hit a minimum and get the "fireworks", but that often motivates me to get to my ideal a few thousand steps later. I would LOVE more fireworks and notifications that I have hit that ideal step goal. I think this would be a great feature and why not celebrate more? Thanks!

Could there be some kind of recognition for meeting your step goal twice in the same day (eg. Walking 20000 steps instead of 10000)? I think this would be a good incentive to do it more often.

I would like to get notifications when I achieve multiples of my daily goals, for example, when I achieve my daily step goal of 10k, I would also like a notification of multiples such as 20k, 30k and so on. Would be very inspiring.

Would love if there was a way to set a "step" countdown timer - so that I could have the FitBit alarm go off after I have hit a set number of steps. Typical use case -- I want to walk a total of 5000 steps on a given walk. I would like the FitBit to alarm after I hit 2500, the midway point, so I can turn around. Any plans to develop such a feature?

Hi @cjpeltz! Great suggestion, thanks for taking the time to share why you would like to see this option on your Fitbit. I've moved it into a similar suggestion. Hopefully we will have support from other users since more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains.
