Honestly the lack of ability to track roller skating will make me end up buying one of your cheaper models. I have a Flex and was going to upgrade so that I could GPS and heartrate track my outdoor skating. I was also really hoping to be able to track distance and heartrate for my indoor skating. I play roller derby and need this functionality to improve my lap times and get a better feel for how much I am actually burning calorie-wise. I will probaby buy a cheap fitbit instead of the top of the line model since it doesn't look like any of your products can do what I need. Super disappointed- please consider adding this! Roller Derby has almost 2,000 leagues across the world and is growing very fast and the athletes are incredibly conscious of our activity. Tap into this market!
I don't want to carry my phone with me when I skate but I REALLY want to be able to track skating using my fitbit. Comeone Devs! We need GPS and heartrate for skating (which can include inline, quad, skateboarding, longboarding, ice skating and hockey)
I skate at least 3 days a week and would love to have the option to log my time strokes/steps and calories burned. You have many log options including golf which could easy substitute walking option, but no skating or blading. I know a roller skating/blade option would be a hit!
Please add Roller Skating ASAP! Bought the Blaze for this purpose and considering returning. Not even sure this forum is being monitored as I see no responses from fitbit.
I agree. I use the "workout" setting but then I have to edit the name to what activity I did. This used to work fine, a pain in the butt to do after every exercise but now if I edit the name it suddenly tracks the exercise twice - once as workout and then a second time as the activity I selected. It would just be nice if I could pick from the list of available exercises (Horseback riding is what I do) and have that as an option on my Blaze.
Not just to the blaze. But please add inline skating to fitbit all together. They have annual inline conventions, im sure providing inline skating tracking would generate interest.
I am an advid roller blader/ hockey skater and recently bought myself a fitbit blaze after christmas as a gift to myself. I am inlove with it but was sad to see there was no skating/blading option when I first started using it. I think it would be a great asset to the Blaze because the Fitbits amazing technology is already so good at noting stride with running, biking, or walking- blading should be an awesome add on.
Hope to see blading as a new feature in these beautiful sunny months coming up ahead.
Please add roller skating to the Fitbit! It is really lacking for me, feels like a waste of money without being able to track my main form of exercise reliably.
Hi, I think it would be great to have more exercise shortcuts added to our trackers or have the ability to recognize this type of exercise automatically.
I just got my Alta HR a week ago and I was very disappointed to find out I cannot manually and precisely track my exercise other than run/hike/walk. You would be able to see, for instance, in Amazon reviews or your community that this is a very common complaint and reason for giving up on Alta HR for other fitness trackers. People want to track their HIIT, BBG, weight-lifting, insanity, PX90, yoga etc., from the minute they start to the minute they finish! They don't like that fact that Alta HR barely estimates the activities only after 10 mins of much movement! Why can't you just add the feature of tracking other types of exercise under "track exercise" button in the app?? I mean, the data (HR, steps etc.) is already there, you just need to add, say, a general category "sport", for instance, where the distance is not key?? It would be so great to track the stats of our hiit workouts and see the heart rate zones in the daily exercise comparison! It would really help so many people who bought your newest tracker hoping it can at least do what the previous ones could (i.e. Charge HR)! It would be a deal breaker for me and many other users if the option of manually tracking other types of exercise (not running/hiking/walking) was not added... Really hoping for your response! Maybe you could kindly do some market research and filter, say, all 1-3 star reviews on Amazon - you would see that most of them also mention this particular problem with Alta HR!
